With over two decades of experience, Jeff Messina is a fourth-degree black belt under Carlson Gracie’s Rodrigo Medeiros and holds a Judo black belt under Jaime Lazcano. He’s trained with MMA legends to prepare for UFC and Pride, competed internationally, and holds numerous titles, including the No-Gi World Championship and Pan American medals. Jeff, also a Texas Army National Guard member, believes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu enriches all areas of life and is dedicated to sharing this transformative martial art with students of every age and skill level.

With a lifetime dedicated to martial arts, Jaime Lazcano holds a Sandan rank (third-degree black belt) in Judo under the renowned Bob Perez and a black belt in BJJ under Jeff Messina. As a fierce competitor, Jaime has fought hundreds of matches, securing multiple Texas State and Collegiate State Championships. Serving as Team Captain, he led the Texas A&M Judo team to a third-place national finish, one of the best placements since 1990. Known for his attention to detail and competitive edge, Jaime is committed to guiding students toward their personal and athletic goals, from stress relief to national competition.

Trent began his martial arts journey in 2009, where he prepared for cage fighting in Legacy Fighting Championships, the fourth-largest promotion at the time. His teaching career has included roles as Head Instructor at UFC Gym Pearland and Iron Dragon Martial Arts and teaching children and adults at Ed Ramos Team. Ed Ramos awarded him his black belt on the podium after winning the brown belt Super heavyweight division at the Houston Open in 2017.
Some of his notable achievements include winning the 2020 Pan Championship, securing silver at the 2021 Pan Open Class, and earning bronze medals at both the 2021 Worlds No-Gi and 2021-2022 Worlds Gi competitions. He's dominated regional competitions with double gold performances at the Austin, Oklahoma, Waco, Baton Rouge, and Houston Opens, notably winning his 2023 matches all by submission. His record also includes being an 8-time Houston Open Champion, 4-time Jiu-Jitsu World League Champion, Submission Hunter Pro 23 Champion, and 5-time NAGA Champion.
